Miguel Da Silva has been involved with radio since he was an idealistic teenager listening to Mi Amigo, Caroline, Laser 558, and Radio Luxembourg. Convinced he wanted to spread the gospel of rock music he became a radio presenter and his first broadcast was on a small pirate station Radio Idefix in the Netherlands. The studio had 2 record players, a tape deck, a microphone, and a small 6 channel mixer. Then Miguel decided he could do better and set up with some like minded friends created their own station called Radio Contact. Despite this exciting period Miguel went legitimate and joined station VLOH and became a valued member of the on air team. Other gigs followed with Radio Lokatel in The Hague and in the late 80′s a presenting in the UK at Lions Radio in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich Community Radio and others. Miguel’s extensive rock music knowledge has been a much valued asset and can be heard on a variety of stations across the world fronting ‘Rock Avalanche’ ‘The Classic Rock Show’ and now ‘Europe Rocks’.
