Why not join our news team?
Penwith Radio is expanding. By the end of the year, we plan to produce hourly news bulletins during the daytime and are looking for a group of volunteers to make up our news team.
Team members will be given a series of broadcast journalism workshops under our head of news, multimedia production journalist Rob Jenkins, which will cover sourcing news stories, interview techniques, editing, writing bulletins, media law and presentation.
Rob says: “Penwith is a vibrant multi-faceted community which always has plenty going on. This is a great opportunity to keep listeners informed of local current events, while learning new skills and making friends.”
If you are interested in joining or would like to find out more, e-mail news@penwithradio.co.uk
